M\u00e4rz 2021<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"fusion-post-content-container\"><p><span class=\"\" lang=\"DE-CH\">Eine aktuelle Publikation in der renommierten Fachzeitschrift &#8220;Nature&#8221; (zum Artikel)&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"\" lang=\"DE-CH\">von CANSEARCH-gef\u00f6rderten Forschern untersucht Variationen im GSTA1-Gen in Abh\u00e4ngigkeit von der ethnischen Zugeh\u00f6rigkeit der Patienten und deren Auswirkung auf den Metabolismus eines Medikaments, Busulfan, das vor einer h\u00e4matopoetischen Stammzelltransplantation bei der Behandlung von Leuk\u00e4mie im Kindesalter eingesetzt wird. Die Ergebnisse der Studie best\u00e4tigten, dass es einen signifikanten Unterschied in der Verteilung dieser wichtigen GSTA1-Genvariationen zwischen menschlichen Populationen in Afrika, S\u00fcd- und Ostasien, Europa und Amerika gibt. Februar 2021<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"fusion-post-content-container\"><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"\" lang=\"DE-CH\">Eine Ver\u00f6ffentlichung im renommierten &#8220;Journal of Clinical Oncology&#8221; (zum Artikel)<\/span><span class=\"\" lang=\"DE-CH\">, die in Zusammenarbeit mit CANSEARCH-gef\u00f6rderten Forschern erstellt wurde, liefert Zwischenergebnisse aus der FORUM-Studie. Ziel der Studie war es, festzustellen, ob eine Chemotherapie vor einer Knochenmark- oder h\u00e4matopoetischen Stammzelltransplantation bei akuter lymphatischer Leuk\u00e4mie bei Kindern der \u00fcblicherweise eingesetzten und nebenwirkungsreichen Strahlentherapie vorzuziehen ist. Allerdings zeigte die Studie schlie\u00dflich, dass trotz der guten Ergebnisse, die mit der Chemotherapie erzielt wurden, die der Strahlentherapie in Bezug auf die Heilungsraten besser bleiben. Basierend auf dieser Erkenntnis setzt die Forschungsplattform CANSEARCH diese Studie fort, indem sie weitere Faktoren, wie z. B. die Pharmakokinetik von Busulfan im Zusammenhang mit der Genetik des jungen Patienten, analysiert. Die verschiedenen Forschungsgruppen sind derzeit dabei, sich f\u00fcr dieses Projekt zu \u00f6ffnen und alle Daten zu sammeln, die im Zusammenhang mit den k\u00fcrzlich eingesetzten Behandlungen f\u00fcr Kinder stehen, die an Leberkrebs erkrankt sind. Diese Anerkennung best\u00e4tigt das Engagement, der Forschungsgemeinschaft qualitativ hochwertige Proben zur Verf\u00fcgung zu stellen. In der Tat steht BaHOP nun auch anderen Forschern auf diesem Gebiet offen, um seinen Mehrwert und seine Wirkung f\u00fcr die Gesellschaft zu erh\u00f6hen. So wird es beispielsweise im Rahmen des Projekts eingesetzt, das in Zusammenarbeit mit der Ecole Polytechnique F\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne (EPFL) unter der Leitung von Prof. Didier Trono durchgef\u00fchrt wird. Dieses Projekt bringt RNA-Sequenzierungsdaten von biologischen Proben, die im BaHOP gelagert werden, mit der Entwicklung der Graft-versus-Host-Disease bei Stammzellentransplantationen in eine Wechselbeziehung. Auch Dr. Arnaud L&#8217;Huillier, Leiter der Klinik f\u00fcr p\u00e4diatrische Infektionskrankheiten des Universit\u00e4tskrankenhauses Genf (HUG), nutzt das BaHOP f\u00fcr sein Projekt \u00fcber humane Viren bei p\u00e4diatrischen Transplantationen.
